Frequently Asked Questions

Boxes are not customizable. However, every household is invited to identify ONE vegetable that they would prefer not to receive. When that item is in season, we will happily replace it with another item of comparable value! Also, at all of our of our pick-up locations, you will have the option to swap anything out of your box for another item of similar value!

Yes! You can opt to add fresh microgreens to your weekly box for an extra $5/week! (This total will be added to your CSA invoice). Also, if picking up at the farm, feel free to browse the farmstand for extras you might like to purchase to add to your box. And, if picking up in Ottawa, you will have the opportunity to purchase extra veggies at pick-up, such as veggies that might not be featured in your box that week or items that you might like more of, such as salad greens.

No, you don't! Our CSA program will run for 18 weeks, but you don't have to sign up for all of them. If you are planning a vacation or a few weeks away at the cottage, indicate how many weeks you would like to sign up for when you register. You will then be invoiced the weekly price of the size you choose x the number of weeks that you signed up for. Please note we require that you sign up for a minimum of 14 weeks.

If you are unable to pick up your box on a week that you signed up for, please arrange to have a friend, family member or neighbour pick it up for you. Alternatively, we would be happy to donate an amount of food that is equivalent to the value of your box to our local food bank - just let us know if this is your preference.

Once your registration information has been received, you will be sent an invoice confirming your order and indicating your total amount due. Payment can be made either in full at that time, or in 2 instalments with a $10 administration fee. If paying in 2 instalments, your second payment is due by May 1st, 2026. Payment can be made by e-transfer to info@dreamsmallfarm.ca or with cash or by cheque made out to Dream Small Farm. If you require an alternate payment plan, please do reach out to us - we are happy to accommodate a request to pay in smaller, more frequent instalments, when needed!

Signing up is easy! Simply click on the Sign up button, fill in the required fields of the Sign up form and hit Submit! Soon after your form has been received, we will send you an invoice, confirming your order details and providing you with the amount owing. You will have the option of paying the full amount owed upon sign-up or deferring half of your full payment until May 1st, with a $10 administration fee.
